The Garden of Love

Deep within my heart of hearts, I knew you were the one.As surely as I've always known that flowers need the sunEven though a few times, it seemed I didn't care I realized I loved you and, with you my life would share As surely as I've always known that flowers need the rainI was made to love you yet, I know it sounds insaneFor though I have not known you , for so many yearsYou've become the only one, who's taken away my tears
As surely as the sun and rain, have made the flowers growI've given all my love to you and thought that you should knowMy love for you will bloom and grow, this I know for sure
As surely as the garden's grow, each and every year

Would it only be a dream, if you would love me too?Or just another fantasy, Im waiting to come true?The things we'd do and say together, under the skies so blueWalking hand in hand along life's path, yes, just me and youWould it only be a dream, to meld our hearts as one?Doing all the simple things, we felt that should be doneLike loving each other as never before, to reach that certain placeWhere lovers often go to when, loving face to faceWould it only be a dream, if you would say to meYou're all I've ever dreamed of, you are my destinyI'll give to you forever, all my love and careIf you promise me forever that... you always will be there

I wish I could be with you
When you open up your eyes
After sleeping soundly
what a great surprise
You'd find me looking at you
with undying love
We'd surely think that we'd been blessed
by God Himself above You reach for me, and hold me tight
and I would look at you
Then I tell you of my love and how
I wish this dream was true
You'd kiss my face and softly say
I'm glad you're here with me
Then we'd realize 'twas not a dream
but true reality
